CU got off to a flying start with Adnaan opening with Anirudh. The pair added 86 runs in 6 overs before Adnaan got out for 33. Anirudh continued his good form before getting out for 74(46). Hasan Behmat and CU captain Sami propelled CU with some great hitting. Hasan made 50 (27) and Sami was back to his big hitting best, scoring 84*(33) taking the team’s total to 349/7. Dhruv and Sachin contributed 27 each to the team’s total. Chicago Fire had an uphill task of chasing a huge total. CU Seamers Koti Vanga and Nadeem William regularly troubled the batsman with their pace and accuracy. Nadeem picked up 3 wickets with Sachin and Dhruv picking up 2 wickets each. Chicago Fire ended up getting all out for 84 giving CU a victory by a massive 265 runs win. ACC : Chicago United vs. Schaumburg Stars Schaumburg Stars won the toss and put CU into bat. CU got a solid start with Anirudh opening the batting with Najam Bakshi. Anirudh got out for 31 (29) while Najam was unlucky to get run out for 21 (33). Koti Vanga and Hasan Behmat put on 50 runs in 4 overs before Koti got out for a well-made 44 (22). Hasan Behmat was looking in fine touch before getting out caught for 42 (25). Shayan Ali steered CU’s innings with a very composed and sensible innings. He remained not out on 55 (37) with CU ending up with a challenging total of 248/8. Schaumburg Stars were rocked early with Najam and Koti picking up early wickets for CU. Abdul Kareem then picked up 3 quick wickets for CU denting any hopes for the Stars. Nisar Sidhu (28 off 37), Talha Zamir (40 off 60) and Uzair Ali (43 off 31) provided handy contributions to Schaumburg Stars in their final total of 161. CU won the match by an 87-run margin.UCL: Chicago Reds vs. Anjuman. Anjuman won the toss and elected to bat on a gloomy Sunday afternoon. Chicago Reds picked up wickets at regular intervals but Ahsan Syed played a brilliant innings; 86 off 36 balls with 9 fours and 6 maximums. Pick of the bowlers for the Reds were Neil Shah (4-0-29-4) and Arnav Sridher (4-0-10-3) assisted by Shravan, Girish, and Deepak who picked up a wicket each restricting Anjuman for a score of 131. Chicago Reds lost 3 quick wickets courtesy of disciplined bowling from Ahsan Syed (2 wickets) and Sazid. Venkatesh Naidu (27 from 34) and Samiuddin (30 from 29) batted well until Abdul Behlim (2 wickets) got Venkatesh caught at point.
