CASO T30 : CU DEFEATS COUGARS TO ENTER FINALS!

On Chicago’s first fall like cold chilly day, Chicago United faced Cougars in the Semi final clash of CASO T30. CU won the toss and elected to field. CU’s opening bowling pair of Najam Iqbal and Akhil Khan Pathan started steady. Akhil Pathan made the first breakthrough when he had Kamran Syed bowled for 11. CU kept getting breakthroughs at regular intervals. Danish Malik and Kabir Hussein contributed 41 and 37 respectively as Cougars posted 134 in their 30 overs. Najam, Sami M Khan and Koti Vanga picked up 2 wickets each for CU. CU opened their batting with Anirudh Jonnavitula and Venkatesh Naidu and were off to a stable start. CU lost their first wicket for 38 as Anirudh was given out caught behind, albeit controversially. Venkatesh and Shayan fell in quick succession but Najam and Dhruv Duggal then knocked off the remainder of the runs with ease.
