CHICAGO UNITED ROARING AFTER PRE-SEASON

2016 ‘Kick Start’ defending champs – Chicago United, in their per-season matches at BPL’s ‘Kick Start’ presented opportunities to rookie players and did not play their full bench. The ‘Men in Red’ wore their warm-up colors to demonstrated at-most technical skills with the ball and the bat. Skipper, Sami Khan took several risk with strategy. This led to exciting pre-season matches with a super over situation and a couple of last ball deciders. Totally thrilling!
Although, 15/15 demands plenty of ‘slog’ or ‘swing’ batting, most CU players played very technically with ball trajectory over the fence, way past the boundary. Akhil Ahuja, Hassan Bemat, Umair Ghani and Abhijit Joshi had a good pre-season. While the trio – Ahmed Askari, Yaseen Shaik and Skipper Sami Khan loosed up with impressive stats . Likhith, Michael, Raghu, Mursaleen, Donikee, Safder, Metha and Andre had good warm-up matches for their upcoming season.
Deccan Mavericks won the final and lost the previous encounter against Chicago United . While the ‘sportsman spirited’ Bolingbrook CC and Golden Eagles lost to CU, Combine Stars had an edge over CU in the Super Over!
CU squad is roaring at the season opener this weekend.
