WI – JAMAICA COACH FOR CU

In preparation for 2017 season, CU (Chicago United) has engaged Mr. Cleon Smith as a coach. Mr. Smith has over 35 years of cricket coaching experience. During this period, he has produced several national and international cricketers. He has been Jamaica’s national team coach associated with WICB, BPL and JCA and is rated amongst top coaches in WI/Jamaica.

Coach Cleon’s primary focus will be on CU’s development team. These are player who have the foundation skills and have the determination to develop discipline, character, knowledge and most importantly skills. Coach Cleon has already spent time with CU players during matches in BPL (home for the coach, to coach youth in a structured coaching program).

This weekend, CU will compete in the finals of MwCC (40/40) and BPL (30/30). The multi week, coaching program for CU by Coach Cleon will start immediately after these finals. ‘Men in Red’ – CU players are excited about the opportunity to train under a very respectful and talented coach.
