YASEEN (70 in 30 balls) and UMAIR (5 wkts) LEAD CU TO FINALS!

  • September 27, 2019

On a rather gloomy day, CU (Chicago United) won the toss and put Sons Of Pitches (SoPs) to bat in the NPD Semi Finals. CU bowlers put SoPs batsmen on the back foot causing a runs drought. SoPs put in every effort to stabilize their batting and produce runs. Ishan Iyer batted well to deliver impactful 33 runs. Girish Kumar (6-2-10-1) and Shravan Kumar (6-0-19-0) kept the batsmen on check. But Umair Ghani, (with his cricketing blood of International and National players of Pakistan) spun the ball to pick up a 5er for 22 runs in his 6 overs limiting SoPs to 101/10 in the 29th over .
Going into bat along with Ifad Noor, the man in form Yaseen Bahmaid got off to an aggressive start . He timed the ball well to several huge maximums in all directions. Yaseen’s 70 runs in 30 balls and Hasan Bemat (20 n.o in 9) along with Ifad Noor lead CU into the finals of NPD with 9 wickets win.
Knights will be facing Chicago United in the finals. This will be an exciting match to watch the two giants compete for the Championship title . Best wishes to both team!
