Last weekend, CU had a triple win in various leagues and divisions. It’s never late to catch up on the match highlights. Here it is!

Match 1 : Chicago United vs Chicago GymkhanaACC : American Premier League

Winning the toss Chicago United opted to bat against the Gymkhanas. CU openers Anirudh Jonnavitula and Venkatesh Naidu started taking on the bowlers right from the first over. CU had an opening partnership of 151 runs before Venkatesh got out for a well-made 62 off 54 balls with 10 boundaries. Hasan Bemat and Anirudh then had a partnership of 149* in the next 12 overs. Anirudh stunning 122* and Hasan 53* propelled the CU total to 250 in 30 overs. Anirudh clubbed 10 boundaries and 8 sixes during his explosive stay at the crease. The thunderous cover drives and straight drives from the flashing blade of Anirudh was a treat to watch from the dugout.The gymkhana batsmen put in all the hardwork on the middle chasing a target of 251 but fell short by 16 runs. After having a good start with the bat, Venkatesh Naidu showed his magic with the ball picking up 3 wickets in the final over and CU picked up their 4th consecutive win in the ACC.

Match 1 : Chicago United Vs IncrediblesCASO : Premier Division

Winning the toss Chicago United opted to bat first against the Incredibles on a cloudy Sunday afternoon. CU opened the batting with Anirudh and Venkatesh Naidu. Anirudh got out on the 4th over of the innings after which CU found it difficult to get the partnerships going. Sachin Veerasammy played a good hand at the middle and scored 38 runs of 27 deliveries with 3 fours and 2 sixes which help CU get to a decent total of 178 in the 30 overs.Coming into Bat, Incredibles were put into pressure straight away by the CU bowlers. Najam Iqbal troubled the Incredibles batsmen right from the second over picking up wickets at regular intervals. The incredible youngster Dhananjay aka DJ played a brilliant innings and scored 65 runs but was helpless as the wickets kept tumbling on the other end. Nadeem William spell at the death rattled the Incredibles batsmen with his reverse swing which helped CU take the win by 31 runs.

Match 3 : Chicago United Reds Vs Spartans CCCASO : MidAmerica T30

Batting first on a hot Sunday morning, the Spartans CC were rocked early on with Girish picking up their opener in the first over of the match. The CU reds bowlers were too hot to handle and the Spartans continued losing wickets at regular intervals with only their opener Srijay(50) scoring at one end. Nadeem William (3/13) ran through the middle order rattling the stumps with his reverse swing and was the pick of the CU Reds bowlers. Hardik Patel (2/6) picked up a couple of wickets while the others, Girish Kumar (1/24), Deepak Paulswamy (1/6), Neil Shah (1/15) and Mohammed Samiuddin (1/17) also chipped in with a wicket each.Chasing a small total, CU Reds didnt off to the best start losing their openers early. Dhruv Duggal (29) and Chinmay (42*) managed to steady the innings after the early setback. Though Druv fell with 40 runs remaining in the chase, Roopan Kumar (15*) joined Chinmay to take the CU Reds home making it a hat trick of wins for CU Reds in the CASO Mid America T30.
