CU opened their bowling with Charith and Najmi. After a decent start by both opening bowlers, Sami M Khan came into the attack. Continuing his good form with the ball, striking in his first over getting the set batsman. Neil Shah the leading bowler for CU also spun his way to three wickets. CU was in control of the game by taking wickets in regular intervals. Hawks ended up with 138 all out in 25.3 overs, with the Udatta Banerjee top scoring with 23. CU opened their innings with Roopan and Venky. CU had a shaky start losing three quick wickets in the first three overs. Hasan Bemat and Charith Daggupati then stabilized the batting with their sensible stroke playing. Hasan top scored with 57 off 48 delivers and Charith 25 off 30. CU then loss three quick wickets, which gave an opportunity for Hawks to come back into the game. CU eventually weathered the storm and hit the target with nine overs to spare.
