CHICAGO UNITED ENTERS PEPSI BASH FINALS

Recently in BPL’s Pepsi Bash night T20 playoffs, Chicago witnessed one of the most fierce competitions in the history of Chicago metro. The tournament was spilt in two pools of five teams each. Pool ‘A’ had lots more competition between well respected team to the likes of Rovers, Black Caps, Incredibles, CU (Chicago United) etc. However, Chicago United – the defending champions of Pepsi Bash, qualified to the Finals by defeating star studded Incredibles.
In one SF, Incredibles won the toss and put CU to field. Incredibles openers, USA probables Fahad Babar and Shaheer Hassan started with a bang. They lost their first wicket to former India U19 and IPL player Niraj Patel in the 5th over at 46 runs. Although the initial anticipated catches were dropped, CU skipper – Sami Khan lead the wreck with a five wicket haul (4-0-19-5) to 79 all out in the 14th over. With the in-form batsmen Yaseen Shaik and dreaded pinch hitter Ahmed Askari, CU chased the target in 8 overs with the loss of 1 wicket.
Deccan Mavericks, the undefeated leaders from pool ‘B’ will face the undefeated leaders from pool A, ‘Men in Red’ Chicago United in the finals of the Pepsi Bash T20 2018 to be held at the BPL stadium – Bolingbrook today at 6:30 pm. Come out and enjoy the finals of Pepsi Bash 2018!
