CU’s IBRAHIM KHALEEL LEADS TEAM USA TO WIN AUTY CUP IN 26 YEARS

Former Ranji trophy, Duleep trophy, ICL, IPL player and world record wicket keeper, Ibrahim Khaleel earned his spot as USA team captain in the world’s oldest ODI (50 overs) cricket series, Auty Cup. A series named after Chicago’s native Karl Andre Auty. This iconic cricket series is 170+ years old and is played annually between Canada and USA with each country alternately hosting it each year. Canada had won the Auty Cup 2016.
This year team USA, under Ibrahim Khaleel’s captaincy; won the Auty Cup after 26 years . The series was played in Toronto, Canada. USA won the series 2 – 1. In the series decider game, 3rd and final match of the series; USA spinners spun the ball to defeat team Canada and bring home the Auty Cup.
