HARDIK’s KNOCK AND PRADEEP’S HATRICK – TRICKS DECCAN MAVERICKS

In there first encounter of the season in BPL’s Champions League against Chicago United, Deccan were put to field first. In the very first over, they drew first blood of Yaseen Shaik at zero on the board. Loosing an early wicket, the other opener; Anirudh Jonnavitula (28) joined by Shyan and then Vishnu attempted to stabilize the CU innings. Anirudh’s bat’s middle shots produced several boundaries. Deccan were very impressive picking up wickets at regular intervals . Najam (Najmi) Iqbal (21) , Hardik Patel (36) and Pradeep Bisht (23) escalated CU’s 63/5 to 159 in their 30 overs . Hardik played an excellent pivotal innings!
Coming into bat, Deccan lost wickets rather quickly and were found grounded at 4/4 in the 4th over. Although Najmi initiated the damage, while Pradeep dismantled Deccan Mevricks’ batting with a rare hatrick – all bowled! Deccan were all out for 45 in the 18th over presenting a huge 111 runs win to Chicago United.
