As expected, a hot sunny day (91F) at Plainfield – Dry and Quick Outfield. CU Players full of energy started warm up to continue the form from previous match. Chicago Knight Riders won the toss and opted to field.
Abhijit and Sami Opened for CU. Abhijit (133) and Sami (33) gave Firing Start to CU. Dhruv was in after Sami got Caught at Long off (unusual) 84/1. Dhruv got LBW on very second ball, delivered Knight Riders an upper hand to build pressure on CU with 94/2 at 9 overs. Askari was in to drive CU’s Scoreboard. Abhijit and Askari built a meaningful partnership smashing ball all over the park, couple of catches dropped by Chicago Knight Riders. Abhijit 133 Runs (71) and Askari’s 134 Runs (67) scored flamboyant and very aggressive tons. Dehydrated Abhijit – 133 Runs (71) ((10) 6’s and (6) 4’s) was caught at 298 runs in 26 Overs. Following Abhijit, Askari got out cheaply – stumped for Khader to walk in to bat. This break thru, brought two new batsmen at the crease. Yaseen with great form provided quick 34 Runs (17), hitting the longest Six of the game 105 meter over the long on. CU made 357/3 in 30 Overs. Shantanu picked 2 wickets from Chicago Knight Riders.

Chicago Knight Riders had Shaky Start with fall of wickets start from first overs. At the end of 8 Overs Chicago Knight Riders Lost all Prominent Batsmen, leaving CU to experiment there part time bowler on one sided game. Paul and Pratik took 1 wicket each. CU Won with the humongous difference of 211 Runs.
