Chicago United won the toss and elected to bat first in this T20 day/night game. Abhijeet Joshi and Sunny Sohail opened the innings as lightning struck when Abhijeet got out in the first over due to a miscued call between the wickets. Safdar went in one down and provided valuable support on one end while Sunny Sohail unleashed outstanding shots and became the first player to score a century on BPL Indian Boundry Cricket ground. Sunny scored 103 runs in 52 balls when he got caught putting CU on board with 138/2 in 13 overs. CU then lost 2 quick wickets with Safdar and Sami getting out cheaply. Umair, Irfan and Sameer finished the innings, setting a target of 213 runs in 20 overs.

Sameer and Abhijeet started the bowling spell for CU. For getting out early, Abhi used all his aggression by taking out the top three batsmen. Abhi finished his spell with 4 overs, 50 runs and 3 wickets. New comer Jatin shined as well finishing with 4 overs, 18 runs and 3 wickets. CU dismantled the Flamez and closed the innings by getting them all out with 161 runs on the board.
